"Reuben" is Cali's son from her 2006 litter by Can. Dual CH AFTCH Firemark's Push Comes to Shove. He's grown from a "little red rocket" into a retriever to make all of his 15 FC/AFC ancestors proud. He exhibits the drive, courage and birdiness so evident in the generations of field trial champions in his breeding.
This mover and shaker earned his Junior Hunter title at 13 months and is currently training for his Senior title. Reuben excels at marking, and running straight lines to the bird. He hunts heavy cover without hesitation and relishes multiple water entries. His perseverance is amazing. When he was 10 months old, he was sent to retrieve a duck which was intercepted by a turtle. He refused to leave the water without his bird. Fortunately we were able to toss another bird behind him which he retrieved with great satisfaction.
Reuben has a great temperament, lives to please and is always ready to rock n roll!
